How LeafTex works.
Two systems power the platform: a zero-waste regional processing model that turns crop and marine waste into finished product, and a native blockchain that proves where every batch came from.
From grower to fiber to soil.
A regional processing model that minimizes wet-biomass haulage, keeps margins with the platform, and lifts smallholder cultivator income — all while operating zero-waste.
Pseudostems from banana FPOs, pineapple leaves from orchards, and responsibly-harvested marine algae.
Mechanical decortication and green extraction pull premium fiber from crop and marine wastes.
Raw fibers are degummed, combed, and blended for high-tenacity industrial spinning.
Internal plant starches and marine polymers are formulated into leathers and edible films.
Residual cellulose pulp is fully composted, locking nutrients back into organic form.
Compost delivered free to partner farmers and growers, completely closing the circular loop.
Every thread tells you where it came from.
LeafTex is a chain-of-custody platform first, a materials company second. Every batch is minted on-chain with origin, lot, and lifecycle data — readable by your QR-scanning customer or your sourcing team.
Buyers increasingly want provable origin — not a marketing line. With LeafTex, your sustainability story is auditable down to a specific farmer cooperative.
Frequently asked questions.
What feedstock does LeafTex use?
We upcycle three streams of agricultural and marine waste: banana pseudostem (post-harvest stems from banana FPOs), pineapple leaf waste, and responsibly-harvested macro-algae. All three are residues that would otherwise be burned, discarded, or left to rot.
What products do you make, and how are they related?
One integrated platform yields several commercial outputs: high-tenacity natural fibers (banana, pineapple), premium cruelty-free leathers — vegan leather plus biodegradable algae leather — and Leaf-Guard™, a starch-based edible coating that extends produce shelf-life by 40–60%. Diversifying outputs hedges market cycles and pushes feedstock utilization to 100%.
How does blockchain traceability work?
Every batch is minted on our native chain-of-custody ledger with origin, lot, and lifecycle data — from the partner farm cooperative through extraction, QA, and dispatch. Your QR-scanning customer can trace provenance right down to a specific grower.
How do I request pricing or a sample?
Pricing is quoted per spec and volume — head to the contact page and tell us your application (spinning, fashion, packhouse, packaging). We ship sample kits to spinners, brands, packhouses, and packagers within five business days.
